Create a GCash payment link your customers can actually use

If you sell online or freelance in the Philippines, you probably type your GCash number into chats many times a week, or send a screenshot of your QR code that gets cropped, blurry or lost in the conversation. Every repeat is a chance for a typo, and every screenshot can be edited by someone who wants to redirect a payment.

A GCash payment link fixes that. You put your GCash number and receiving QR on one page, then share a single link such as mypayme.app/@yourshop. Your customer taps it, copies your number or saves your QR, confirms your account name, and pays from their own app. The money goes straight to your GCash. Mypayme never holds it.

mypayme.app/@

Free for one page. Money goes straight to your account.

Set it up in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Claim your link

Sign up free and pick a username, for example mypayme.app/@beasbakeshop. This is the link you’ll share everywhere.

  2. 2

    Add your GCash

Enter the account name exactly as it appears in GCash and your registered mobile number. For your QR, open GCash, tap QR → Generate QR → Receive Money via QR Code, save the image, then upload it.

  3. 3

    Share it instead of screenshots

Paste the link in Messenger, pin it to your Facebook page, add it to your Instagram or TikTok bio, and put it on invoices.

What your customer sees

Customers first tap the app they’ll pay with. If they also use GCash, they get the same-app route: copy your number, open GCash, Send → Express Send, paste. If they pay from a bank like BDO or BPI, the page tells them to send via InstaPay and pick “GCash” from their bank’s list, which is the step most people get stuck on.

They can also save your GCash QR and upload it from their gallery in their banking app. Before they send, the page reminds them to check that your name appears as the recipient.

A GCash link vs. sending a QR screenshot

A link does a few things a screenshot can’t:

  • It’s always up to date. Change your number or QR once and every link you’ve shared shows the new details.
  • Your full number is hidden until someone taps it, so it never shows up in link previews or search results.
  • Payers see the name stored inside your QR, which helps them catch fake or swapped QR codes.
  • One page can also hold your Maya and bank accounts, so customers without GCash can still pay you.
  • You can see how many people opened your page, copied your number or saved your QR.

Is it safe to share my GCash number?

Your GCash number lets people send you money, but it doesn’t let them take money out. Never share your MPIN or the one-time codes GCash sends you. No real customer, courier or platform needs them.

Mypayme encrypts your number when it’s stored and only shows it after a deliberate tap. It also slows down anyone opening many pages to collect numbers, and lets you hide or remove a payment method instantly.

Requesting a specific amount

For an order or an invoice, create a request link from your dashboard. It shows the amount and what it’s for (for example “₱560 · Order #1024”) at the top of your page. The prefilled message your customer sends back afterwards includes the amount and their reference number, so matching payments is quicker.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mypayme charge a fee on GCash payments?

No. Payments go directly from your customer’s app to your GCash, and Mypayme takes nothing. Your customer’s bank or e-wallet may charge its usual transfer fee, for example for InstaPay transfers from a bank.

Do I need a GCash merchant or business account?

No. A regular verified GCash account works. Mypayme just shows your existing number and receiving QR on one page.

Will Mypayme tell me when someone has paid?

Not automatically. Mypayme doesn’t connect to your GCash account. Always confirm payments in the GCash app. Customers can send you a ready-made proof message with their reference number.

Can customers pay my GCash from a bank account?

Yes. Most Philippine banks can send to GCash through InstaPay, and your page tells bank customers exactly which option to pick.

Can I add Maya and bank accounts too?

Yes. The free plan includes up to five payment methods, so you can offer GCash, Maya and your banks on the same link.
