How online sellers in the Philippines can accept GCash, Maya and bank payments

Selling on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Shopee chat usually means taking payments the manual way: “Pa-send po ng GCash mo.” Customers want to pay with whatever app they have, and you spend your evenings sending account numbers and checking screenshots.

You don’t need a payment gateway or a merchant account to tidy this up. A good setup offers every way to pay in one place, makes the amount clear, and gets proof back to you in a consistent format.

Set it up in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Offer more than one option

Add GCash, Maya and at least one bank. Customers who can pay from the same app as yours pay faster and usually without fees.

  2. 2

Send a request link for each order

Create a link with the amount and order number. The customer sees “₱560 · Order #1024” at the top of your page.

  3. 3

Ask for proof the same way every time

After paying, customers get a ready-made message to your Messenger, Viber or SMS with the amount, app and reference number. Verify it in your own app before shipping.

Where to put your payment link

Your link should be wherever customers ask “How do I pay?”

  • Pinned post and Intro on your Facebook page, and a saved reply in Messenger.
  • Instagram and TikTok bio.
  • Order confirmation messages and invoices.
  • A printed “Scan to pay” poster for bazaars, pop-ups and your counter.

COD vs. prepaid

Cash on delivery is still popular, but prepaid orders cut returns and failed deliveries. Many sellers ask for prepayment on made-to-order or high-value items and keep COD for repeat customers. A clear payment page makes prepaying feel safe and easy, which nudges more customers to do it.

Matching payments to orders

When several customers pay at once, matching transfers to orders gets messy. Use a request link with the order number for each order, ask customers to put the order number in the transfer notes, and match by amount, time and reference number in your app. Wrong amount? Ask for the balance with a new request link, or refund the difference through the same app the customer used.

Don’t ship on a screenshot

Edited and recycled payment screenshots are among the most common scams sellers face. A screenshot is not proof of payment. Before you ship, check that the money has arrived in your GCash, Maya or bank app, and match the reference number.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a payment gateway like PayMongo to sell online?

Not to get started. Direct transfers to your GCash, Maya or bank work well for small sellers. Gateways make sense when you need automatic confirmation, card payments or checkout on a website.

Can I use one link for multiple shops?

The free plan includes one payment page. Pro lets you run up to three, for example separate pages for different shops.

Will my customers see my personal details?

They see the account name and number you choose to show, after tapping. You can add your business name and photo, and switch to a private link or QR-only mode if you prefer.

How much does it cost?

Mypayme is free for one page. Pro is ₱99/month or ₱990/year for extra pages, premium themes, posters and longer analytics.
